THE FINALS High Ping: Cashout Steals, Destruction, and Party Regions

Run the THE FINALS ping test to compare regional RTT, P10–P90 variation, and missing replies. These are PartyPing probes, not Embark match servers; do not present the number as your in-game ping.

Cashout timing matters more than a quiet average

THE FINALS combines destructible arenas with cash boxes and Cashout stations. An unstable route can upset the timing of carrying the box, starting or stealing a Cashout, deploying a gadget, and reacting to collapsing floors. Embark describes delayed input registration and rubber-banding as high-ping symptoms, and flags Wi-Fi spikes, background traffic, and cross-region parties.

Check Settings → General → Region → Preferred Region. Embark says Automatic selects a region based on your connection, but the party leader's location determines the group's matchmaking region. The official patch notes confirm South America and Oceania as selectable regions; esports groupings such as EMEA and APAC are not game-server city lists.

PartyPing uses S<25ms, A<50ms, B<80ms, C<120ms, then D as engineering bands, not Embark standards. If a Cashout steal rubber-bands despite a reasonable average, inspect variance, missing replies, and in-game warning icons, then try Ethernet and pause background transfers.

Common questions

What is a good ping for THE FINALS?

Embark has not published millisecond grades. PartyPing uses fast-competitive engineering bands: under 25ms S, 25–49ms A, 50–79ms B, 80–119ms C, and 120ms or more D; variance and missing replies may lower the overall grade.

Why did joining a party move me to a high-ping region?

Embark support says the leader's location determines the party's matchmaking region. Check General → Region → Preferred Region and compare a region everyone can use; Automatic can also change with network and party conditions.

Does PartyPing measure my Cashout match server?

No. It measures browser-to-PartyPing probes, while the game takes another route. The results compare North America, Europe, Asia, South America, and Oceania directions, not the exact city hosting a match.
