Run the Escape from Tarkov ping test to compare round-trip delay, P10–P90 variation, and missing replies by direction. It measures PartyPing probes, not Battlestate Games raid servers, so use it to screen routes rather than treat it as the in-game ping.
A raid is more than a firefight
Escape from Tarkov is an extraction FPS. An unstable route can disrupt lean-peeks, container searches, doors, healing, and hit feedback; high latency also reduces the reaction window while holding an angle, fighting, or reaching extraction. A disconnect while carrying loot has a higher cost than a lost round in a conventional shooter.
Official support says high packet loss, excessive latency, or traffic interference can break client-server synchronization and cause a raid disconnect. It recommends automatic server selection or manually choosing several servers with the lowest ping. In a group, align every member's list around routes everyone can use.
PartyPing grades this tactical FPS at S<20ms, A<40ms, B<60ms, C<100ms, then D. These are engineering thresholds, not official Battlestate Games grades. If the average looks acceptable but the P10–P90 range is wide or replies are missing, check Wi-Fi, background transfers, route-changing software, and official service status.
