Run the ARC Raiders ping test before queuing. It compares round-trip time, P10–P90 variation, and missing replies toward North America, Europe, Asia, South America, and Oceania—the five regions exposed by ARC Raiders' official map schedule. The probes are regional references, not Embark match servers.
Read lag through an extraction raid
High or changing latency can show up as late movement correction after sprinting or vaulting, delayed doors and loot, hit feedback that arrives after firing at a Raider or ARC machine, or damage after reaching cover. Embark's own update notes specifically mention reducing server-side character movement latency, cover desync, and delayed ARC impact feedback. Packet loss or a wide P10–P90 range often feels less predictable than one steady ping value.
Check the selected region before changing your network
Embark Support recommends setting Gameplay > Server to Automatic when troubleshooting matchmaking. Crossplay also changes the available matchmaking pool, and the most restrictive party member's setting applies. Test twice: once with the current setting and once after restoring Automatic. Do not assume a fast speed test proves the route to your match is healthy.
PartyPing grades ARC Raiders with engineering bands: S below 25 ms, A below 50, B below 80, C below 120, then D. Embark has not published official ping grades. The tighter interpretation reflects a high-stakes PvPvE extraction game where a short duel, an ARC attack, or a final interaction at extraction can decide the loadout you bring home.
